KCI to gain ViaAir flights to Steamboat Springs, Colo., this winter
A Florida airline is starting service at Kansas City, working with the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. in Colorado.
ViaAir will begin service from KCI to the Steamboat/Hayden Airport on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, beginning Dec. 13. It will provide additional flights during the first week of January.
The airline, based in Maitland, Fla., currently serves Branson from markets other than Kansas City.
ViaAir has not completed arrangements for which terminal or gate it will use at KCI, said Justin Meyer, deputy director of aviation for the Kansas City Aviation Department.
