Aviation Technical Services announced Friday that its aircraft overhaul base at Kansas City International Airport will perform maintenance, repair and other services on Hawaiian Airlines’ 767 aircraft fleet.

Hawaiian has been a customer of Aviation Technical Services for 10 years, and the maintenance work here will run through 2015, the announcement said. The financial terms were not disclosed.

“With contoured hangars that were originally built for wide-body aircraft and expansive support space, our Kansas City facility can accommodate B-767s very well,” Matt Yerbic, Aviation Technical Services’ president and chief executive, said in a statement.

The aircraft maintenance company, based in Everett, Wash., has more than 1,500 employees companywide.
