18-year-old Kansas City woman reported missing since Valentine's Day

Kansas City police are asking for the public's help in finding an 18-year-old Kansas City woman who has been reported missing since she was last seen a week ago on Valentine's Day.

Vernece A. Brown was last seen about 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 in the 3600 block of Bales Avenue, according to the Kansas City Police Department. She left her home with an unknown male and her family has not seen or heard from her since.

Officer Darin Snapp, a Kansas City police spokesman, said on Thursday that there were no signs of foul play.

Police circulated a flier with photos of Brown and asked anyone who locates her to call the Kansas City Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5136, or call 911.
