The marketing team of Oak Run is proud to announce the opening of its latest phase of 68 new, competitively priced, home sites in this inviting, tranquil community located in Southern Johnson County near 151st St. and Old 56 Highway. The homes, built exclusively by Johnnie Adams Homes, are situated on beautiful treed, walkout and cul-de-sac lots, some over ½-acre in size.

During this year’s Fall Parade of Homes, which runs through October 8, prospective homebuyers can experience Johnnie Adams Homes’ innovative floor plans and commitment to excellence at Tour #85, The Northbend. This finished, furnished model is a stunning two-story, five-bedroom, 4½-bathroom home featuring an open floor plan with four bedrooms and 3-1/2 bathrooms upstairs, and an office/flex room on the main level. The finished basement has another bedroom and bathroom, plus a wet bar and recreation room.

Another home to view during the Parade is The Woodland II, a reverse 1-1/2-story, four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,600 square foot, three-car garage home set on a spacious daylight lot. This home is priced at $359,950.

“This home offers main level living with two of the bedrooms and one bathroom on the lower level, where homeowners can also enjoy a spacious entertainment area including a wet bar,” said Theresa Moore, who markets the property with Rosie Dearmore, for ReeceNichols Real Estate. “The lower level also has two large storage areas providing plenty of space to store everyday items, holiday decorations, etc.”

Because the homes at Oak Run represent some of the most affordable in the Southern Johnson County area, sales have been at a brisk pace and lot reservations are being taken.

There are also only 13 spec homes remaining in the first phase of Oak Run. “These beautiful homes are offered in six different floor plans,” said Moore. “Ranging in price from only $254,000 to $360,000, they each have their own unique ‘Wow’ factor and appeal to a wide array of buyers.”

With decades of building experience and over 1,000 satisfied homeowners, Johnnie Adams Homes began building exceptional, affordable, high quality homes in 1992 in primarily the Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs area. The company has since branched out to offer beautiful, energy-efficient custom homes across the Kansas City metro area.

“Johnnie may be a new name to some in the Johnson County area, but he has been building affordable, innovative floor plans for almost 25 years,” Dearmore said. “That is one of the reasons why we are so excited to have him as the exclusive builder here at Oak Run.”

Oak Run community amenities include a zero-depth entry pool and cabana, as well as numerous nearby options suitable for first-time, move-up, and empty-nest buyers.

It is also within close proximity to the city and many modern conveniences, including, for many of its residents, only a short commute to some of Johnson County’s largest employers.

One of the biggest draws for buyers with children is that Oak Run is situated within the award-winning Olathe School District. Just last month at the start of the 2017 school year the District opened the brand new, $82 million, state-of-the-art Olathe West High School.

Built in an innovative format designed to emulate the feel of a college campus or start-up workplace, the school encompasses four communities, one dedicated to each grade, where core classes take place. Features of the new school building include blended learning classrooms for collaboration, open learning boards and maker spaces and media support centers, among other state-of-the-art elements.

“A lot of people are moving to the area because they really want their kids to go there,” explained Dearmore. “And once they see how close it is to Oak Run and all that we have to offer as a community, living here is a natural choice.”

“We really encourage anyone looking for an affordable home in Southern Johnson County to come out during this year’s Fall Parade of Homes,” Moore said. “The community is absolutely gorgeous and our buyers are amazed by our fabulous floors plans and how much house they can afford here. That’s why we say that Oak Run is the place where they ‘Love to Come Home!’”
