Prospect of another Brady-Manning meeting draws a wide range of reactions
Who’s ready for Round 17 of the Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning rivalry?
That’s what you’ve got, thanks to the Patriots’ 27-20 win over the Chiefs on Saturday and Denver’s 23-16 victory against the Steelers on Sunday.
Brady and the Patriots will face Manning and the Broncos for the right to advance to Super Bowl 50.
A little history: This will be the fifth playoff meeting between the two. They split the previous four games, and Manning leads 2-1 in AFC championship games. The home team has won all four meetings:
Jan. 18, 2004: at Patriots 24, Colts 14
Jan. 16, 2005: at Patriots 20, Colts 3 (divisional round)
Jan. 21, 2007: at Colts 38, Patriots 34
Jan. 19, 2014: at Broncos 26, Patriots 16
There was a mixed bag of reactions about the prospect of another game featuring those two quarterbacks.
Brady. Manning. Hell yes!!! Cannot wait. #SophiesChoice
