Things got chippy in the second quarter of the Chiefs’ AFC Divisional playoff game against the Patriots.

A punt by the Chiefs was downed near the goal line, but Jamell Fleming didn’t get to the ball, because he was wiped out on a hit by the Patriots’ Danny Amendola.

Chiefs fans and, really, football fans elsewhere were baffled, angry and unhappy about the play. The penalty moved the ball half the distance to the end zone, which wasn’t far.
