In managers game, Iowa State player destroys Hawkeyes player with a huge block
There is a big game tonight in Iowa.
It’s Iowa State vs. Iowa in men’s basketball in Ames. In reality, it’s just Round 2 of the feud.
On Wednesday night, the managers from the schools played in an annual game at Hilton Coliseum. Jay Bilas of ESPN had some pregame analysis:
Iowa State managers currently watching film of last game. Had to be reminded the film was not running in "Super Slo-Mo." They were.
— Jay Bilas (@JayBilas) December 10, 2015Iowa State manager to watch: Nate Buchanan, a three-point shooter, but not a three-point maker. Very slow with Steve Prohm's dry cleaning.
— Jay Bilas (@JayBilas) December 10, 2015Iowa State managers to watch: Charlie Kennelly, shooter, disinterested defender, still looking for first double-double and girlfriend.
— Jay Bilas (@JayBilas) December 10, 2015ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla live tweeted the game! Here are some of the highlights:
Hawkeyes'Kyle Denning is on FIRE. Has hit 5 threes. May be a ringer. pic.twitter.com/H19aQk1B7A

— Fran Fraschilla (@franfraschilla) December 10, 2015Cyclones win, 67-59 but it was a great show of sportsmanship. Cy-Hawk rivalry is special. pic.twitter.com/KPF3AxFStw
— Fran Fraschilla (@franfraschilla) December 10, 2015Yes, the Cyclones won a year after the Hawkeyes beat them. Here is the best part from the game. Check out this block by one of the Cyclone managers:
Iowa State managers defeat Iowa managers, 67-59. This should've been SportsCenter Top Ten. pic.twitter.com/oWNgoGJbqv
— Jay Bilas (@JayBilas) December 10, 2015Thanks to Fraschilla and Bilas for these tweets.
