Jeremy Guthrie has the perfect response to Jeff Samardzija’s deal with the Giants
How about these contracts being given to Major League Baseball pitchers?
Former Royals starter Zack Greinke is going to get $206 million over six seasons from Arizona. On Saturday, the Giants agreed with Jeff Samardzija on a five-year, $90 million deal.
As The Star’s Andy McCullough noted:
Jeff Samardzija led the A.L. last year in runs allowed, hits allowed and homers allowed. Also, his K/9 sank. I love baseball.
— Andy McCullough (@McCulloughStar) December 5, 2015You know who else had a rough year? Jeremy Guthrie. But he’s got a good sense of humor about it as he took note of what Andy tweeted:
Perfect, looks like I'm all set after last season. #CareerWorsts https://t.co/JUrz2WAicr
