Unbeknownst to nearly everyone, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was busily making a friendship bracelet three years ago on Tuesday.

Kelce brought it to the Eras Tour show at Arrowhead Stadium on July 7, 2023 but was unsuccessful in his attempt to get it to superstar singer Taylor Swift. On his New Heights podcast a short time later, Kelce lamented that he was unable to see Swift that night at Arrowhead, where he works.

That caught Swift’s attention, as she noted in a 2023 interview with Time magazine.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift told Time. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”

Swift’s Kansas City concert was why she and Kelce are married today. You did hear about their wedding last week, right?

As noted, no one knew that Kelce was putting together a bracelet that he wanted to give to Swift. That includes Swift, who shared a message about Kansas City three years ago Tuesday after a girls weekend.

Swift couldn’t have imagined how her life would change as she shared photos and typed these words: “Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies 😎

“See you tonight Kansas Cityyy”

Kansas City was ready to see Swift, who played the first of two sold-out shows at Arrowhead. Everything changed that night because Kelce shot his shot and got the girl. He ended up marrying Swift in a Love Story that has tickled the fancy of her fans.
