For Pete's Sake

The best headline for Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding came from a JoCo media site

You name it, and news of the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding was everywhere Friday: social-media feeds, news websites, cable news broadcasts and even the telecast of a World Cup knockout stage match.

It was a huge deal to have the Chiefs tight end and the internationally known singer tie the knot, and some of the headlines last week included:

Taylor Made Wedding” (Daily News)

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Unite in Marriage” (New York Times)

“It’s a love story: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married” (Reuters)

“Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: America’s royal wedding” (The Observer)

“Johnson County couple married in private NYC ceremony”

The latter is apparently how the Johnson County Post shared the news of the wedding, and I’m not the only one who found it hilarious.

An X user named kcginger shared an image of the headline, and people got a big kick out of it, because Kelce has a home in Leawood. Someone has a great sense of humor, because that is wonderfully sublime.

“I love when news about them is simplistic hometown headlines,” one person wrote on X.

Another shared this: “The Leawood newlyweds are locally famous! 🤣”

One person noted: “That headline is hilariously underwhelming.”

Here is the headline announcing the marriage.
