Chiefs receivers discuss who KC should draft or trade for in social-media video

It’s mock draft season in the NFL, but the football pundits don’t seem to agree on which college player the Chiefs will select next month.

Do the Chiefs need to add a wide receiver? ESPN’s Peter Schrager thinks so, as he has the Chiefs taking Arizona State receiver Jordyn Tyson with the ninth overall pick.

A pair of Chiefs receivers shared their thoughts on who they’d like in their position room. Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton did a TikTok live and took questions from fans.

One asked: Do you want a rookie or a vet in the wide receiver room?

“A dog,” Thornton said.

Rice mentioned an Eagles wide receiver who is rumored to be on the trade block.

“A.J. Brown would be nice in the room, but we go get Carnell Tate or something, that’d be fire too. I ain’t gonna lie,” Rice said.

“They want to see that right there,” Thornton said of the fan reaction.

Tate is the Ohio State star who could be the first wide receiver selected in the draft.

“We’re a young room already, so it don’t really matter what we do,” Rice said. “We’re already young.”
