Former Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie isn’t the first athlete to splurge after being given a massive contract extension.

But McDuffie, who was traded to the Rams earlier this month, didn’t buy a super-expensive car, mansion or minor-league sports team. Well, to the best of our knowledge he hasn’t at this point.

McDuffie, who received a four-year, $124 million contract extension from Los Angeles after the deal with the Chiefs, went a different route as he got a massive series of tattoos.

That included Super Bowl LVII and Super Bowl LVIII logos on his arm. Those were the back-to-back championships that McDuffie and the Chiefs won.

This was no quick tattoo job, either. McDuffie was knocked out while a group of artists completed the work on his body. Lakimii Tattoo, which did the work, said it’s tattoos are “large-piece, anesthesia (pain free) with our elite tattoo artists and a licensed anesthesiologist in Los Angeles.”

Lakimii Tattoo shared a look at process.
