Have you ever wondered what it’s like when a player makes his first trip to Kansas City after signing with the Chiefs?
Aisina Farley pulled back the curtain in a TikTok video she shared after her husband, safety Alohi Gilman, agreed to a free-agent deal with the Chiefs.
“This has to be the most surreal experience I’ve ever had, because the Chiefs flew us out on a private jet, and let me tell you, I lived for the PJ life,” said Farley, who played rugby at Lindenwood University. “Like the whole time, we were just tripping out and taking it in. This has to be every parent’s dream of traveling with their kids like this, because we put a movie on, we relaxed, and in no time we were in Kansas City. A driver then picked this up and took us to the hotel where a bag of snacks was waiting for us. We were definitely spoiled.
“The next morning, me and the kids got ready and we headed to the facility to meet Alohi, where we watched him sign his contract, which was amazing to be there. Here’s him in his new jersey, and here’s coach (Andy) Reid having some baby time with our son. He’s literally the coolest. Watched Alohi do some media, and they took us on a tour of the stadium. Now this part just got me so excited for Alohi to play in such a legendary stadium for a great organization, like he’s going into year seven in the NFL. So it’s just been a crazy, wild journey, and Alohi just works way too damn hard for him to not get his flowers up. He deserves it.”
That snippet of Reid with the baby is sweet.
The Chiefs rolled out the red carpet and Gilman and Farley were clearly thrilled.
“Shout out to the Chiefs for this great experience,” Farley said in the video. “We definitely ended the night with a grateful heart.”
