Actor Henry Winkler shares words of advice for the Chiefs heading into next season
Plenty of Chiefs fans are fretting about the future.
A six-game losing streak to end the season resulted in a 6-11 record for the Chiefs. And quarterback Patrick Mahomes is recovering from knee surgery to repair two damaged ligaments.
Is this the end of the dynasty? Are there dark days ahead? Some Chiefs fans worry that the team won’t recapture its mojo.
Not so for one celebrity Chiefs fan.
Legendary actor Henry Winkler, who is an unabashed Mahomes fan, was watching Sunday’s 14-12 loss to the Raiders. That ugly game could shake the faith of the strongest Chiefs supporter, but Winkler believes the team has merely hit a bump in the road.
Winkler, who played The Fonz on “Happy Days” in addition to roles on “Barry” and “The Waterboy,” shared a pep talk for the team on X.
“Chiefs shake off this season, enjoy the offseason, come back and come back strong!” Winkler wrote. “You are in fact a great team. Period.”
Winkler also shared a pair of messages about tight end Travis Kelce, who made more NFL history during Sunday’s game.
It’s clear that Winkler is not a fair-weather Chiefs fan.
