Travis Kelce fans have spent much of the week sharing and watching videos of the Chiefs tight end.

Kelce’s football future is front and center on the minds of many people following the Chiefs’ loss Sunday that knocked them from the playoff race. Kelce is in the final year of his contract with the Chiefs, is engaged to superstar singer Taylor Swift and co-hosts a wildly popular podcast.

Those are reasons why Kelce, 36, could retire following the Chiefs’ season finale against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kelce also has accomplished nearly everything a player could hope for in the NFL. He holds multiple Chiefs receiving records, has three Super Bowl rings and is a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

And he might not want to return for another season, given the uncertainty about quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ future following his knee injury.

While Kelce frequently talks about how team results trump any personal accolades, he could reach three significant statistical milestones in the Chiefs’ final three regular-season games.

Kelce has 67 receptions this season with 797 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. Here is a closer look at what’s within Kelce’s reach.

Lucky 13

Swift’s favorite number is 13, a fact her fans would certainly note if Kelce has 52 total receiving yards before season’s end. That would give him 13,000 career receiving yards.

Only 21 players in NFL history have reached that number.

99 to go

Should Kelce get 99 total receiving yards by season’s end, he would pass former Cowboys star Jason Witten for the second-most by a tight end in NFL history.

Witten had 13,046 receiving yards, while Kelce has 12,948. Former Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez holds the record with 15,127 yards.

A grand addition

Kelce is just 203 yards shy of 1,000 receiving yards for the season, a big milestone for any pass catcher.

Should Kelce get to 1,000 yards, it would be the eighth time he reached that mark in his career. It would be Kelce’s first time since his streak of seven straight seasons of reaching a thousand receiving yards in a season (2016-2022).
