The Chiefs began Sunday’s game with three starters out because of injuries.

“This,” Collinsworth said, “could not have started worse for the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Morris needed help to leave the field and then was taken by a cart to the Chiefs’ locker room. While Morris was being attended to by Chiefs trainers, quarterback Patrick Mahomes took a knee nearby and said a prayer.

NBC Sports’ play-by-play broadcaster Mike Tirico noted the network wouldn’t be showing a replay of the injury to Morris because they can be gruesome.
