Kareem Hunt seemed to invite Bills’ James Cook to sit on Chiefs bench during game

Like Chris Jones, I’m not sure why there is such a backlash to the Chiefs among NFL fans.

Perhaps it’s a reaction to the Chiefs’ success during this dynastic period. Or it could be the unfounded belief that the NFL wants the league’s best team to be located in Kansas City and is using game officials to make that happen.

But here’s the thing about the Chiefs, the players are some really nice guys.

We saw that Sunday during the Chiefs’ 28-21 loss to the Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.

At one point, Bills running back James Cook was pushed out of bounds on the Chiefs sideline. Cook’s momentum coincidentally took him to a bench where the Chiefs running backs were sitting.

It appeared the Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt, who knows what a grind it is to play running back in the NFL, invited Cook to take a seat on the Chiefs bench. And Cook took up Hunt on the offer.

Although Cook quickly bounced up after sitting between Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Brashard Smith, it was a funny scene. Here are some photos and a video from the NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger.
