Tamba Hali has a message for fans worried the Chiefs’ season is on the brink

The Chiefs enter their bye week with a 5-4 record, and they are in third place in the AFC West. At this point, the Chiefs are not in a playoff spot.

After getting next week off, the Chiefs will travel to Denver to face the division-leading Broncos before coming home for a game against the Colts, who are first in the AFC South.

Is the season in peril following the Chiefs’ 28-21 loss to the Bills on Sunday? Fans too often ride a roller coaster of emotions, so there undoubtedly are some who are concerned.

But Chiefs Hall of Famer Tamba Hali offered reason for optimism following the defeat.

“Chief Kingdom there’s no reason to panic,” Hali wrote in an X message. “(Quarterback Patrick) Mahomes played his worst game statistically in his career and we only lost by seven and that’s the most games we usually lose every year which is four. I think Mahomes played a very good game in my opinion. We need to do a better job in areas that we all .... agree on. Our defense needs to improve which they will but apart from that guys get ready for playoff football. We’re gonna take this thing back to the Super Bowl. You already know Chief Kingdom.”

Chiefs fans certainly hope Hali is right.
