Viral video shows a father’s sweet reaction to daughter meeting Patrick Mahomes
I’m not sure if quarterback Patrick Mahomes does this before every home Chiefs game, but the team often shares videos of him greeting kids.
A video from Monday shows Mahomes meeting with a young fan named Lucy. He handed her a game ball and then signed a mini football as Lucy’s family watched.
That video went viral not so much for Mahomes’ interaction with Lucy, but because of how her father reacted. It was clear just how happy that experience made his daughter, who appeared to be dealing with a significant health issue.
The Chiefs posted the video on TikTok, and it had more than 45,000 likes. An X user named Jenna shared that video and, as of Wednesday morning, it had been viewed 2.7 million times.
