You can get a taste of 1587 Prime during a free tailgate at Chiefs game
About the only thing more difficult these days than the Raiders trying to pick up a first down against the Chiefs is attempting to get a reservation at the 1587 Prime steakhouse.
That’s the new restaurant from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. Following the blowout win over Las Vegas, Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, dined there Sunday.
The restaurant is booked for the foreseeable future, but there is a bit of good news for those wanting to try the steakhouse.
Ahead of the Chiefs’ “Monday Night Football” game against the Commanders, 1587 Prime is going to have a free tasting at the Truman Sports Complex. They’ll be set up in Lot M between GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium.
“We are bringing the signature flavor of Kansas City’s newest steakhouse to Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, Oct. 27 for the Chiefs vs. Commanders showdown,” the restaurant wrote in an email to patrons.
There will be a pair of freebies for fans.
The steakhouse said it will have “a signature 1587 Prime game day taste” at the tailgate for fans to try. And there will be free merchandise, too. Both are while supplies last.
There also will be a musical performance.
