American Eagle planning pop-up at a KC cafe in honor of Chiefs’ Travis Kelce

The brouhaha about American Eagle’s advertising campaign with actress Sydney Sweeney has pretty much faded away.

Another American Eagle collaboration was announced not long after that famous one, and it didn’t create nearly the same waves. American Eagle collaborated with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s sportswear and lifestyle brand, Tru Kolors.

“The limited-edition collection merges fashion, sports, and culture, pairing the #1 jeans brand for Gen Z with one of the most recognizable names in football and entertainment,” American Eagle said in a news release.

In honor of that partnership, American Eagle is planning a one day-pop-up in Kansas City at Blip Coffee Roasters, 301 Woodswether Rd. It’ll be this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“AE is transforming one of KC’s favorite cafes into a community hub of fresh brews, curated sounds, and rare finds from Manifest Mart. Guests can explore the collection, enjoy limited-edition giveaways, and vibe to live DJ sets throughout the day,” the company said.

American Eagle said it will be giving away some Tru Kolors-AE items during the event while supplies last. Kelce is not expected to be at the event.

American Eagle has shared photos about its collaboration with Kelce’s Tru Kolors.
