For Pete's Sake

A popular ‘80s band offers to play at Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding

This wedding between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and superstar singer Taylor Swift is going to have an incredible guest list.

Heck, wouldn’t it be something if actor Adam Sandler reprised his role as a wedding singer from his iconic 1990s movie? That is unlikely to happen, but a popular band from the 1970s and 1980s has offered up its services.

In an Instagram post, Foreigner has offered to be the house band for the blessed ceremony between the Chiefs tight end and the Eras Tour singer.

“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,” the band wrote.

“We know what love is. We spent 40 years figuring it out ... and now you guys have too.

“Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band.

“Best wishes,

Foreigner.”

Foreigner has had eight top 10 hits in its career, and “I Want To Know What Love Is” reached No. 1 in 1984. Other big hits included “Urgent,” “Double Vision,” “Hot Blooded” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You.”
