There will be a mix of old and new for the broadcast of the Chiefs’ season-opening game against the Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil.

YouTube will broadcast the game, which will be played at 7 p.m. on Sept. 5, with the simulcast on KSHB-TV (Ch. 41) in Kansas City.

ESPN’s Rich Eisen and NFL Network analyst Kurt Warner will be the main broadcasters, with NBC Sports’ Terry McAulay working as rules analyst. The sideline reporters will be Stacey Dales of the NFL Network and Donald De La Haye, who is better known as Deestroying.

The YouTube star has more than 6 million followers. YouTube promised Deestroying “will bring his signature energy and unique insights from his journey as a former kicker to the sidelines of Corinthians Arena.”

Deestroying, who was a kickoff specialist at Central Florida a decade ago, was described as a content creator by The Athletic, so it’ll be interesting to see what he brings to the broadcast.

YouTube is planning a one-hour pregame show at 6 p.m. Kay Adams and former Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will be in São Paulo, while there also will be a studio show from Los Angeles.

Ex-Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu will be part of the LA crew, along with former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, and former All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Peter Overzet, who covers fantasy football, will be part of the conversation, too.
