Apple TV shares video of ‘Ted Lasso’ cast eating BBQ inside Gates restaurant
Season 4 of “Ted Lasso” is a double-win for fans of the show who live in Kansas City.
For starters, there is the excitement of the Emmy Award show returning for another season. When the Season 3 ended, it seemed like Jason Sudeikis, Juno Temple, Hannah Waddingham and the others wouldn’t continue the show.
But filming of the new season has started and brings us to the second reason for fans here to be giddy — it’s taking place in Kansas City.
Filming is being done in various spots around our fair city, and that includes Gates Bar-B-Q. We know this because photos on social media showed Juno and Waddingham outside the Linwood and Main location.
Apple TV, which airs the show of a fish-out-of-water soccer coach from Kansas in England, also shared video of Sudeikis, Waddingham, Temple and Jeremy Swift from inside the Gates restaurant.
The actors seemed to be enjoying the Kansas City barbecue. There is a lot of delightful sounds being made in the video.
“This is so good,” Temple says at one point, and there was no acting involved in that, one would guess. Apple TV added this message to the post: “We’re not in Richmond anymore.” That’s a nice twist on the “Wizard of Oz” line.
Variety confirmed that Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt also will be back for the new season.
