People loved Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s wholesome fan interactions at golf event
Ninety celebrities took part in the American Century Investments golf tournament over the weekend in South Tahoe Lake, and it was a mix of big names.
Comedian Nate Bargatze was there, as were actors Michael Peña, Rob Riggle and Miles Teller. Current and former athletes like Josh Allen, Steph Curry and Albert Pujols also took part.
But the biggest star was Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who was in high demand from the crowd.
Thanks to a decade of success with the Chiefs that includes two Super Bowl titles, Kelce was already well-known before he began dating his current girlfriend. That’s superstar singer Taylor Swift, of course.
Since the two began their relationship, Kelce has helped the Chiefs win a third Super Bowl, inked a $100 million deal for the podcast he shares with his brother, Jason, and appeared in an FX original show.
Despite being rich and famous, Kelce turned heads at the charity golf event for his down-to-earth behavior. Multiple videos of Kelce’s kindness as he interacted with people went viral.
For example, Kelce and his brother made a point of thanking volunteers they met after the first round. People appreciated that.
Fans also loved this video of Kelce asking a woman in a wheelchair to move back as he was preparing to shoot from the rough. “You look lovely,” Kelce said sweetly.
And then there was this video of Kelce meeting a young fan wearing his No. 87 Chiefs jersey. Kelce taking time to sign the jersey and speak with the girl made the video go viral. As the person who shared the video said, it was a “wholesome” moment.
