At the end of any road trip, Royals players are happy to return home and play at Kauffman Stadium once again.

But one exception just might be first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino.

During the Royals’ six-game swing through St. Louis and Chicago, Pasquantino batted .500 (13 for 26) with seven RBIs and a pair of home runs. He struck out just twice and his OPS was an absurd 1.305.

Pasquantino has been on such a hot streak that he didn’t realize at first when he hit one of those dingers. It came during Saturday’s game against the White Sox at Rate Field.

Pasquantino crushed a pitch from Chicago starting pitcher Adrian Houser and the Royals broadcasters knew it was gone. But Pasquantino initially was unsure where the ball was hit.

Take a look at his funny reaction here.

Pasquantino hasn’t only been good on the road, of course. Over the last 28 days, he has a .387 batting average with four home runs, two doubles, 14 RBIs and seven walks.
