With four kids under the age of 6, including one that is only 10 weeks old, it’s little surprise that Kylie Kelce doesn’t have the same energy level as, say, a decade ago.

These days, she said a good day is having time for a shower and a cup of coffee — as long as it’s still hot.

It’s why Kelce is always happy when her brother-in-law, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, visits.

While visiting with wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin on the Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie Kelce talked about Travis being a “funcle” (fun uncle) and why it helps her as a mom.

Not surprisingly, Travis Kelce brings a lot of energy when visiting his nieces. Kylie Kelce appreciates that because the kids love it and she doesn’t quite have that zeal.

“I think seeing the uncle relationship, especially like with our girls, even just the other day, my husband was on a call on the computer and they assumed that he was on the podcast with Travis,” Kylie Kelce said. “Our second youngest said, ‘I go say hi to Uncle Trav.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t think he’s on the phone with Uncle Trav,’ and they were convinced that just because he was on the computer, they were like, ‘We’re gonna go say hi.’ And I’m like, girls, it’s not Uncle Trav.

“The enthusiasm, like they just know that when he comes, he’s gonna lock in and he’s gonna give them his undivided attention. They’re gonna be like, can you get on the floor? And he’s gonna be, like, already down there. They have a zest that has been worn down (in me). It’s been worn down. If I get down on the floor, I might fall asleep.”

Irwin said the same is true of her brother, Robert.

“It is really nice to have someone who is fresh and fun,” Irwin said.

Kelce agreed and said: “That’s it.”

She added: “We may not be thriving at the moment, but we’re surviving, and we’re doing OK about it.”

Irwin agreed and said: “Totally ... so have the fun uncle come over and everything will be OK. I’m with you.”
