Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes stars in a new commercial for trading card company
If you surf through some of the Panini America trading cards of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on eBay, you’ll find ones available in prices ranging from $1.99 to half-a-million dollars.
Some cards, it seems, are worth quite a bit more than others. Or possibly just overpriced.
More Panini cards are coming. Panini on Tuesday announced that autographed trading cards of Mahomes will be featured in the company’s upcoming products for the 2025 season.
“Panini has been with me since my NFL Draft party in 2017, and I’m excited to be working with them on these new autographed trading cards,” Mahomes said in a news release. “The Panini team continues to find ways to create really interesting trading cards that fans have come to enjoy and I’m looking forward to working with them to help develop these cards for the 2025 season.”
Panini put out a new commercial with Mahomes and it talks about the three-time Super Bowl champion’s career success.
“Legacy? That isn’t built in four quarters,” the narrator says in the commercial. “It’s how you change the game. Icons don’t copy or imitate. They build and innovate. They study the film. He’s flipping the script
“Milestones? Just a result of the work. Whatever the reason for it. He never chases stats, but the numbers do speak and 1-5 says 1 of 1.”
