Forty-five players from Royals’ 1985 and 2015 title teams are gathering for gala
During the Royals’ run to the 2015 World Series championship, a number of fans wore T-shirts that read, “Party like it’s 1985.”
That was the year of the other Royals World Series championship, and members from both of those teams are coming back to be honored next month at a gala at Union Station.
Forty-five players from the two teams will gather for what is being called a black-tie optional affair. There will be dinner and commemorative programming as part of the fundraiser for The Kansas City Royals Foundation.
You can buy tickets online.
