Defensive back Kristian Fulton wrote message for Chiefs fans after KC deal was revealed
There’s been a remarkable number of Chiefs players who have ended up signing with the New Orleans Saints.
Safety Justin Reid is the latest, following his deal with the Saints on Tuesday. Others include Khalen Saunders, Willie Gay Jr. and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
But that Missouri-Louisiana connection goes in both directions.
Safety Tyrann Mathieu grew up in Louisiana and played for the Chiefs before signing with the Saints.
Mathieu was replaced by Reid, who grew up in Louisiana and is now going to play for New Orleans.
While he isn’t going to replace Reid, defensive back Kristian Fulton also grew up in Louisiana and will be joining the Chiefs next season.
Fulton, a cornerback who played for the Chargers last season, agreed to a two-year deal worth a reported $20 million.
Shortly after the news of Fulton’s deal with the Chiefs became known, he wrote a message for KC fans on his Instagram story.
“GOD WILL DO IT!” Fulton wrote.
“If you know my journey you know He always had me!
“Believe my Best is Still to Come!
“#chiefskingdom”
Here is that message.
