A massive brawl broke out at the end of the Mizzou-KU hockey game
It’s been nearly 13 years since Missouri left the Big 12 for the Southeastern Conference, but the Tigers’ disdain for the Kansas Jayhawks remains strong.
And the feeling is mutual.
Yep, the Border War scorn might not be as strong as it once was, but we still see examples of how much the schools don’t like one another.
That was the case Friday night when the KU club hockey team played Missouri at AdventHealth Sports Park at BluHawk in Overland Park.
At the conclusion of the Jayhawks’ 4-3 win, the teams got into a huge on-ice brawl.
As the announcer noted in the video below, there were four fights taking place simultaneously — and that included a goalie fight. Members of the Overland Park police department had to hop on the ice to help quell the storm.
The clubs are scheduled to meet again on April 10 at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.
