Wes Bergmann is a 2003 Blue Valley North High School graduate who has appeared on multiple reality television shows and now owns a home in a gated community in Leawood.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is a 2008 Cleveland Heights graduate who has appeared in multiple Super Bowls and now owns a home in a gated community in Leawood.

Bergmann and Kelce look similar, but no one would confuse them as brothers.

But, as Bergmann noted on “The Social Game” podcast, paparazzi mistook him for Kelce. He said a photo of Bergmann wearing a cap while in a truck was identified as Kelce.

“I’ve got a sick truck and they got a bad angle,” Bergmann said. “It’s a badass truck. They’re like, ‘Only Travis Kelce would drive this truck.’ ... He has a truck as well, but I think mine is better.”

Bergmann’s home is just minutes from Kelce’s in Leawood, so that could explain a mix-up.

While Bergmann didn’t say he knew Kelce, he did talk about the Chiefs star, who is dating superstar singer Taylor Swift.

“He’s an enigma. On the one hand, he’s like this big, tough football player,” Bergmann said. “On the other end, he’s probably gonna have like 12 Taylor Swift songs written about him.

“And on that note, I was the first person to know about any of this stuff and I tried to tell this woman a long time ago. I was like, ‘They’re together, just so you know.’ She didn’t believe it.”

Bergmann claimed to know about Kelce dating Taylor Swift “six months” before she showed up to her first Chiefs game during the 2023 season. But they hadn’t been dating for that long.

Anyway, here’s Bergmann talking about being mistaken for Kelce.
