Texas Tech fans went home unhappy Monday night after watching the Red Raiders drop a 69-61 decision to No. 4 Houston in Lubbock.

Well, nearly everyone.

One Texas Tech fan actually had a great night at United Supermarkets Arena even though the 10th-ranked Red Raiders lost.

That fan won a contest by drilling a full-court golf putt in the first half and celebrated his accomplishment with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes is a Tech alum, and he usually attends at least one basketball game each season. Mahomes and his wife, Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes, were courtside for Monday’s game.

After winning the putting contest, the Tech fan ran towards Patrick Mahomes, who rushed on the court as the two did a leaping celebration.

Video of this moment quickly went viral and with good reason. It was a fun moment.
