For Pete's Sake

‘Jimmy Kimmel’ video from Super Bowl Opening Night shows the oddities the Chiefs face

Once upon a time, Opening Night at the Super Bowl was dedicated to giving media members time to talk with the players and coaches from both teams.

It’s evolved something much crazier.

On Monday night, Chiefs players fielded disrespectful questions (Patrick Mahomes was asked which referees he sends Christmas cards to), tried to catch cookies thrown by quarterback Jameis Winston and at least one Andy Reid lookalike was walking around the Superdome.

Nothing encapsulated the nutty atmosphere better than a video that aired Thursday night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Guillermo Rodriguez went around to Chiefs and Eagles players and asked them a variety of off-the-wall questions.

Guillermo also brought props with him, including a dad body pillow for Mahomes, New Orleans beads with his face on it for Travis Kelce and an NFL football that was turned into a Magic 8-ball.

This will give fans a taste of what it’s like at a Super Bowl Opening Night, and there are some funny moments.
