Oddly, a question about favorite colors resulted in fun answers at Super Bowl Opening Night

The official colors of the Chiefs are red, gold and white, while it’s midnight green, silver, black and white for the Eagles.

Fans of those teams are most likely to say their favorite color is what the players are wearing. But stars on both sides prefer what the opponent will be wearing Sunday in Super Bowl LIX.

Many of those players were asked about their color of choice at the Opening Night festivities at the Caesars Superdome. You wouldn’t think much of a player’s color of choice, but the question surprisingly provided some interesting responses.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes answered this way: “My favorite color is green. Green, you know and that’s always been my favorite color. St. Patrick’s Day, it worked out perfectly.”

Mahomes let out a little chuckle after saying that.

Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are close friends and they have the same favorite color.

“My favorite color? Man, I’m a green kind of guy,” Kelce said. “I’m a green kind of guy.”

A fun moment from Monday night was when Eagles running back Saquon Barkley answered that same query.

“My favorite color? I’m gonna go red. I’m gonna go red,” Barkley said. “Oh, maybe that wasn’t the right color to say at this moment, right? I’m saying red because I think that’s my favorite color.”
