For Pete's Sake

Here’s the facemask call that went against the Bills in AFC Championship Game

Things got real funky at the end of the first half of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Bills challenged a catch by the Chiefs’ Xavier Worthy after KC had run a play. At least it seemed that way. Apparently, Bills coach Sean McDermott threw his red challenge flag before the Chiefs ran another play.

That baffled fans.

Then the Chiefs seemed to catch a break when the play clock appeared to hit zero before the game clock reached the two-minute warning.

However, the two-minute warning arrived first. Again, fans were not sure about that decision.

Before all of that took place, the Bills were flagged for a facemask penalty on a sequence that occurred away from the ball.

CBS Sports rules analyst Gene Steratore said he wished that call wasn’t made. What do you think? Here is what was called.
