Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had 177 passing yards and a crazy touchdown throw during Saturday’s AFC Divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

But what fans of other teams were talking about Saturday was a common theme this season. Many believe NFL referees and other game officials help Mahomes with questionable calls.

There were two iffy roughing penalties on the Texans in the game, which the Chiefs won 23-14. On a fourth-quarter drive, Mahomes scrambled out of the pocket and after getting to the sideline fell to the ground a little too easily.

Kurt Benkert, who was briefly in the NFL with the Packers and 49ers, poked fun at Mahomes for flopping.

Fans of other teams also took a shot at Mahomes. Here is a very small sample of what was being said as “flopping” was trending on X. It’s important to note that no penalty was called on the play.
