For three quarters, NFL fans were in full throat across social media on Saturday, complaining about how the NFL game officials continue to protect and help Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Then Mahomes made a magical play during an AFC Divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs were leading 13-12 and facing third-and-goal from the 11-yard line and the Texans’ pass rush was coming for Mahomes. It appeared that Mahomes was going to be sacked by Houston’s Mario Edwards Jr.

Instead, Mahomes managed to get rid of the ball as he was falling and throw a touchdown pass to tight end Travis Kelce.

This was insane.
