KC Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes shows off nursery for baby daughter, Golden

Following the birth of her son, Bronze, Kansas City Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes showed off a unique loft-inspired theme for the baby’s nursery.

Mahomes and her husband, Patrick Mahomes, welcomed the arrival of the couple’s third child on Sunday, a baby girl named Golden Raye. The style of Golden’s nursery is quite a bit different.

Brittany Mahomes shared a look in an Instagram video shared with Crate & Kids.

“Welcome to my baby girl’s nursery,” Mahomes said in the video. “So when I found out I was having a baby girl, my mind immediately went to pink for the nursery. I really wanted to go very warm and pink with Golden’s nursery, and then obviously tying in the gold, just to go with her name, was really where we got most of the inspiration for her room.“

Mahomes then showed off a chair and ottoman in the room.

“I think this is the most important part of a nursery when building it,” she said. “You spend a lot of time in this chair as a mom, whether you’re breast feeding, bottle feeding, reading them books, doing nighttime routines, so it needs to be comfortable. And then I did the ottoman, because Patrick is much taller than I am, so we can adjust this for our legs, depending on who’s sitting in it.

“A super-cute detail we did: We changed the knobs out for golden bows for our baby girl. Bows are so cute and then obviously it just goes with her name.”

Here is the video.

In an interview with People magazine, Mahomes talked about her meetings with a design team. She noted Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback, had a say in how things looked.

“I took the lead with presenting ideas to the design team, but Patrick definitely had a say in choosing select pieces and options they gave us,” Brittany explained. “We both spend a lot of time in the nursery, so we wanted to make sure it was a space we were both comfortable in.”
