What’s in a Chiefs player’s locker? Equipment manager gives fans an inside look
If you look around the Chiefs locker room, it seems as if each player’s individual stall is too small.
This has nothing to do with the size of the players, many of whom are typically very large men. Take a look at the stalls behind Chiefs coach Andy Reid in this video.
It almost seems like there must be a hidden component to the lockers, right? Perhaps something that allows the players to store more gear.
As it turns out, there is.
Chiefs assistant equipment manager Cale Kirby shared a look at rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s locker room stall in an Instagram video from a few months ago.
What looks simply to be a dividing wall between each stall actually can be pulled out. There is space for hoodies, gloves, towels and more in that space.
This is an interesting look at each locker stall.
Kirby also took a closer look at a coach’s stall in the locker room. Here is the stall used by video assistant Erich Corcoran.
