Chiefs’ Nazeeh Johnson claps back at fan who criticized him on social media
When cornerback Jaylen Watson suffered an injury and landed on injured reserve last month, the Chiefs plugged in Nazeeh Johnson as Watson’s replacement.
Watson’s fractured ankle opened a door for Johnson, who was a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Johnson suffered a torn ACL during training camp last year and missed the entire season.
But Johnson made his first NFL start last month in the Chiefs’ victory over the Buccaneers. Unfortunately, he was forced from the game because of a concussion.
In the Chiefs’ 30-21 loss Sunday at Buffalo, Johnson made just his third career NFL start and was the target of ridicule on social media from some Kansas City fans.
On Tuesday, Johnson clapped back at one fan who criticized his performance against the Bills. The fan said Johnson allowed nine receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown.
“Are you dumbu looking at PFF like they know what defense we in,” Johnson wrote on X in response.
Johnson later added: “Show me the 9 I gave up . I know 3 of them (I’ll pay . if u show me and tell what I had on that play )“
Johnson later deleted those messages but you can still see them below.
