Singer Stevie Nicks shares the special gift she bought for Chiefs’ Travis Kelce
Following an Eras Tour show in Dublin this summer, singer Taylor Swift held an after-party at the iconic Hacienda Bar with boyfriend Travis Kelce.
They were joined by members of Paramore and legendary singer Stevie Nicks.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Nicks talked about Swift and Kelce, the Chiefs tight end.
Nicks, who is known for her work with Fleetwood Mac as well as her solo performances, received a treasured friendship bracelet from Swift.
“I haven’t taken it off for almost a year,” Nicks told Rolling Stone’s Angie Martoccio. “She is really smart, but she also went through a lot before. She’s in a good place right now, and I think she has a good man. I hope they fall deeper and deeper in love and ride off into the sunset. He does his thing and she does her thing, and then they come back together and get married and have babies if she wants that. I just want all of that for her.”
Nicks, who wrapped up last month, was happy to finish with concerts for a while. It’ll allow her time for other pursuits.
While talking about non-musical hobbies, Nicks mentioned a gift she purchased for Kelce, who she seems to consider a friend.
“I haven’t been able to do a lot of the creative things that I love in many, many years. I draw, I write songs, and I write poetry. I’d like to make a perfume because I actually have a smell that I love. I like to design blankets. Cashmere blankets are my favorite thing. That is what I buy for my friends if there’s a special occasion. I bought Travis Kelce a blanket.
“Don Henley and J.D. Souther took me into a store in Los Angeles called Maxfield Blue, now Maxfield, in 1977. And they took me there, and I got my first cashmere blanket.”
Like Hicks, Henley and Souther are also legendary singer-songwriters.. Souther died last month.
In the Rolling Stone interview, Nicks was in Philadelphia recording a song for a forthcoming Christmas album. It’s from Kelce’s brother, Jason, and his former Eagles teammates, Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson.
It’ll be their third Christmas album and proceeds benefit the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Jason Kelce and Nicks are performing a song together on that record.
The Kelce brothers sang a duet on last year’s Christmas album.
Can we add Nicks to the burgeoning list of celebrity Chiefs fans? Possibly, because a Swiftie shared this picture from one of Nicks’ concerts.
