The Chiefs offensive starters played just one series in Saturday night’s preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium.
That’s pretty much been par for the course during coach Andy Reid’s tenure in Kansas City. The first-string offense moved the ball 43 yards in seven plays on the drive and tight end Travis Kelce was targeted once. Kelce made the catch for 7 yards.
Kelce’s girlfriend, superstar singer Taylor Swift, wasn’t at the game because he’s in Europe for her Eras Tour. Chiefs fans, however, were thinking of Swift ... and Kelce at the Jaguars stadium.
