Taylor Swift watched the Chiefs’ ring ceremony after her concert in England
After Taylor Swift played a three-hour show in Liverpool on Thursday night, no one could have blamed her for simply wanting to get some rest.
Instead, Swift stayed up late to watch the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII ring ceremony at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
Chariah Gordon, the girlfriend of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman, was streaming the event on her Instagram Live account (as did many of players), and one of the viewers was the Eras Tour singer.
It was 4 a.m. in England, but Swift was glued to the video feed from Kansas City.
“JOINING THE PARTY FROM LIVERPOOL LET’S GOOOOOOO,” Swift wrote.
Swift loved the rings and congratulated the team.
Perhaps the best comment of all was about Hardman.
“AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE,” Swift wrote about the Chiefs having signed Hardman last week.
Sports fans talk of their teams using the word “we,” so it’s clear Swift is a part of Chiefs Kingdom.
Here are the comments Swift made while watching the ring ceremony from Europe.
