It’s probably premature to add rock music legend Bruce Springsteen to the lengthy list of celebrity Chiefs fans, but he apparently watched Super Bowl LVIII.

After the Chiefs’ thrilling 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers, tight end Travis Kelce delivered his signature “Fight for your right!” line during the postgame celebration.

But before getting to that, Kelce also sang part of another song as a nod to where the game was played.

“Viva Las Vegas!”

What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but that was a moment Chiefs fans will long remember.

Springsteen was in Las Vegas on Friday for a show with The E Street Band. Before the musicians took the stage at the T-Mobile Arena, Springsteen revved up the band by mentioning Kelce’s name.

And the Boss even got the pronunciation of Kelce’s name correct. He said it as “Kels” rather than “Kel-cee.” Perhaps you recall how Kelce caused a stir in 2021 by casually mentioning that people have said his name wrong. Kelce later said either pronunciation is correct.

But I digress.

The bottom line is Springsteen knows about Kelce and his “Viva Las Vegas” rendition.

Here is a video that was shared on Springsteen’s Instagram account.

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band know about football, too. The band played the halftime show at Super Bowl in 2009.

During last week’s show in Vegas, the rock stars also played “Viva Las Vegas,” which was made famous by Elvis Presley.
