Brett Veach says Taylor Swift’s postgame routine differed from others at Chiefs games

Like most people in the Chiefs organization, general manager Brett Veach has fielded a common query since last September.

Superstar singer Taylor Swift made her first appearance at a Chiefs game on Sept. 24 when KC crushed the Bears 41-10. Swift, who is dating tight end Travis Kelce, was pretty much a regular after that, seeing games in KC and on the road.

Swift has met many of the Chiefs players and was on the field following victories in the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl LVIII.

But Veach has yet to meet Swift, as he told John Middlekauff on the “3 and out” podcast. Because of Swift’s immense popularity, her postgame routine during the regular season differed from other friends and family who were in a suite at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

“That’s the first question I get from all of my immediate friends and family: ‘So what’s Taylor like?’ I’m like, ‘I’ve never met her,’” Veach said. “I mean she comes to the games and she’s up there (in a suite). And typically families come down (to the locker room area) to see the players. Travis goes up to see her, so I’ve seen her in passing.

“It’s been a wild ride. And, you know, listen, maybe Travis will bring her around every now and then.”

Here’s hoping Kelce introduces his girlfriend to Veach sometime soon.
