Ravens broadcasters lamented having to hear more Taylor Swift songs after Chiefs won
Thanks to a clutch 32-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, the Chiefs were able to bleed the final 2 minutes off the clock in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
In the radio booth at M&T Bank Stadium, Gerry Sandusky, the “Voice of the Ravens,” and Rod Woodson lamented how the game had played out and that Baltimore’s season had ended.
“Heartbreak for the Ravens,” Sandusky said. “They get so close to the Super Bowl, but unable to do the things you have to do to win a championship game.”
Sandusky praised Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who had 11 catches with 116 receiving yards and a touchdown. Then Sandusky mentioned Kelce’s girlfriend, international singing star Taylor Swift.
After the clock hit all zeroes, Sandusky said: “And the Chiefs now will talk of dynasty and, unfortunately, we will hear a lot of Taylor Swift songs in the two weeks ahead.”
Woodson sighed and said, “Oh yeah, that’s very unfortunate.”
Here is the clip of the broadcasters comments about Swift from Red Tribe Cinema, and you can hear they’re talk about Swift near the end of the video.
