When a Chiefs player reaches the end zone, it results in one of the unique calls in the NFL.

In the broadcast booth, Mitch Holthus calls out: “Touchdown! Kan-sas City!”

Holthus has been the voice of the Chiefs since 1994 when he took over the radio job from Kevin Harlan.

This is Holthus’ 30th year as the play-by-play broadcaster for Chiefs radio, and he talked about that milestone earlier this summer in a story by The Star’s Blair Kerkhoff.

The Chiefs this week released a video in honor of Holthus’ time with the team, and it includes some of his iconic calls through the years. That includes clips from both of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victories over the past four seasons.

With many of those calls, you can see Holthus’ energetic reaction in the radio booth.

Chiefs fans should enjoy this.
