Add this to the long list of things that Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes does well: wakesurfing
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a man of many skills.
He’s shown an ability to do good things on a golf course and a basketball court, along with a mechanical bull and a ping-pong table. And then there’s football, of course.
Now you can add wakesurfing to the list of things Mahomes has done well. Instagram user Steel Lafferty shared a video of being at Lake Tahoe with Mahomes.
“Took the GOAT @patrickmahomes out wakesurfing for his first time! Dudes an athlete, dropped the rope first go @mcboatcompany,” Lafferty wrote.
This likely took place when Mahomes competed in last month’s American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament.
If this was Mahomes’ first time, it appears he did well on a surfboard.
ExtraHyperActive describes wakesurfing as “a water sport in which a surfer trails behind a wakeboard boat, surfing the boat’s wake without being directly attached to the boat. The wake from the boat mimics the look and feel of an actual ocean wave. After getting up on the wave by use of a tow rope, wakesurfers drop the rope and ride the steep face below the wave’s peak in a fashion reminiscent of ocean surfing.“
