While the Chiefs’ full 2023 schedule won’t be released until Thursday night, we already know each opponent.

Sharp Football Analysis shows the Chiefs have the third-most difficult schedule in the NFL. They will face a bevy of elite quarterbacks this season because the AFC is stacked with most of the NFL’s best signal-callers.

The Chiefs will face the Bengals’ Joe Burrow, Bills’ Josh Allen, Jets’ Aaron Rodgers, Chargers’ Justin Herbert (twice), the Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence, Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa and Broncos’ Russell Wilson (also twice).

On the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football,” Kyle Brandt put the AFC quarterbacks in tiers. The Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, the NFL MVP, was alone at the top.

Allen joined Brandt’s “Basement” podcast for ESPN and was asked about the tiers. Allen said Mahomes is clearly the No. 1 quarterback.

“I’m not the one to sit here and say, who belongs where,” Allen said. “I do think Tua and Trevor probably, they played extremely well last year, I don’t know, I think they’re a little too low. I got a lot of respect for both those guys. I got a lot of respect for everybody on this list, to be honest. And I think obviously, Aaron belongs a little higher.

“Until me or Joey (Burrow) or anybody else can win a Super Bowl, I think Pat’s kind of the clear No. 1 right now, and he’s been playing at such a high level for so long and he’s got the rings to kind of prove it. So again, it’s not my decision or expertise to make these lists.”
